Help please!

Sorry, but i just want to know if a herpes outbreak (HSV-1) can cause lymph nodes swelling...coz the other day i had a herpes outbreak and the lymphnodes on both sides of my neck became swollen and just want to know if the outbreak can be the cause.

For cold sores the famvir dose is 1500 mg once as soon as you notice the start of a cold sore.

All the herpes antivirals only help to speed the healing of a cold sore by a few days on average but it shortens the duration of shedding as well in many folks if you take it soon enough, can even ward off a full blown cold sore.

Probably you are fighting off another viral infection that triggered the cold sore from the sounds of things.

Thanks alot for the fast response i appreciate it...and yes i've been to a doctor coz i've been suffering from HSV-1 since i was a kid,plus the doctor told me to take FAMVIR-250mg at the beginnig of an outbreak.well is VALTREX more efficient tha FAMVIR ???

Oh yes it can cause gland swelling.. major sharp pains down your legs.. and bum area.
Have u been to a doctor? Get on Valtrex.1000mg tabs. it cleared up my outbreak in 3 days. Great stuff!
