Herper on leg ?

I am a male and my female partner has genital HSV2.  I had an outbreak on my inner thigh a few days after she had been sleeping with her vagina against my leg without any panties on.  Is it possible to transmit HSV2 in such a way, or is this totally impossible ?    The other possiblility is poison ivy from the woods, which occured about 2 days afrter we slept together.

correct - if it's healed there's no way to know other than thru the blood tests.

As the area has now cleared up,  active virus is probably no longer on the skin at the site ifr it is HSV2 and not poison ivy. The area is just above the knee on the iner thigh; is the infectiuon in this area make it less likely to be HSV@ ?   Best bet seems to wait some time and get serological test for antibodies, correct ?.  My girlfriend has been on valtrex and had not had any outbreaks in over 20 yrs, but viral shedding could also have taken place.

Yes you can get herpes lesions on the thigh area.  I'd see your provider and get it cultured to see if it's herpes or not.
