Hi Grace, I'm sorry, maybe I didnt explain it correctly, my bad.  I dont
have any itching now. Just seem to have a little yeast there.
I check myself every time I go to the restroom, or even when I think
something is different. Anything that goes  wrong now
I seem to be so over protected, I think.  I'm still trying to
handle this in some way positive!  I been reading Terri Warren handbook.
And as it states being upset about it, will not help matters any better.
So  I'm taking the advice that is written in the handbook. Taking my
meds. Things will get better right? Smile Now!!!!!!!

you have itching again so you need to be seen before the end of the month.

Hello Grace, The Nurse called me and told me over the phone that
I had HSV 1 & 2 from my test results, which was done by
a blood test, I also had a pap test, thats where the yeast infection
showed on my pap test. I had a test for HIV, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and
the results for those were negative she said. I did get a pill for the yeast
  infection, it went away.
But when I started taking the Acyclovir it came back again.
She didn't give me any numbers about the HSV test. Just said that
I tested  positive  for HSV 1 & 2. They are filled until the end of the
month they told me. My appointment is for Jan. 30th. What can I do?
And in reference to the ex boyfriend yes he was positive for both
HSV 1 & 2. He told me. Thank You

I'd call and go back to be seen sooner than the end of the month. get retested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally. don't guess and self treat - be properly tested.

I'll gladly look at your blood test results for you to make sure that you were properly tested and don't need further testing. Just post the actual numeric results - e.g. hsv 1 igg 8.8 and hsv2 igg 3.2 or whatever they are.

your partner is hsv2+?

Thank you Grace for your help. Yes,  I was tested by a blood test.
I only have one partner. He did get tested too. He said he was sorry
for giving me this. And that he was having  unprotected sex with some
girl. I'm finish with him. He was my first   and looks like my last!
I'm really disappointed in him for doing this to me!  He was hideing from
me for 2 months. My doctor told me to take the Acyclovir 200 mg at 4
times a day. She ordered 120 pills for 30 days with a year prescribe.
That's what I received.  For the pain I have been taking advil. I had bad
itching with it. What can I use for the itching? My doctor gave me a pill
for the yeast and I was  tested for infections to. But it is back the yeast
infection, it seem to have never went away. I go  back to the doctor at
the end of the month, my appointment is then.
I have never had any infections until now, this bothers me bad. I'm afraid
  to ever have sex  again.

What testing have you had done so far?  I saw you posted elsewhere that you were started on acyclovir 200mg 4x/day. that isn't the right dose. It needs to be either 400mg 3x/day for 200mg 5x/day.

The free herpes handbook is a terrific resource - google it and it comes right up. It was written by Terri Warren, our medhelp herpes expert and is a great starter resource.

do you have a regular partner? If so, have they been tested yet to know their own status?

so what do you do about the pain you have now? Well  several things you can try. Go to the drugstore or a walmart type store and pick up epsom salts as well as a can of dermoplast spray ( the blue can for the genital area, not the red can ). You'll find them both near the first aid section. You can take baths 1 or 2 times a day with epsom salts thrown in . it helps with comfort and pain. You can spray the spray on the lesions several times a day for pain relief too. Also take plenty of tylenol and/or advil to help with the pain too.

A newly acquired infection unfortunately can take up to a week before the antivirals really make much of a difference :(  Recurrences will be much milder though.

when you were seen, did they test your discharge for infection too?
