Herpes Symptoms

Hello,

About 5 days ago I had sex with a female. We used condoms, but we did not use them on our last sexual encounter before me leaving.

I started to notice crater like bumps around my mouth and chin area. I thought it came from me not shaving in a couple of days so I disregarded it.

About a day later I found it painful to urinate. A headache, swollen gums, and sore throat followed shortly after.

My headache is gone now, but my sore throat and painful urination remains.

I have no bumps on my genital area, that is the only thing keeping me sane right now.

I just got tested yesterday, but those results won't be back until next week.

I was just looking for some advice on what it could possibly be.

So.... I got my results back today. I tested for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV Antibody, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Herpes 1, Herpes 2, Syphilis... and they all came back negative. I'm happy bout that, but it still does not change what my body is doing. The painful urination, the cold sores, swollen gums, sore throat the fever. I'm waiting on a mouth swab that I received last week. I know what they aren't. (thank GOD!) But I'm still left with symptoms and answers... :/

don't panic, it sounds as if you have a severe thrush infection, unfortunately antibiotics can make it worse, my son had the exact same thing, take your antibiotics (finish the course) use cotton wool and warm previously boiled water and gently dab around your mouth and chin area to clean then put a thin layer of E45 on the affected area, repeat twice a day, drink plenty of water to help flush your urine through, you will be fine I'am sure, my son is 22 and worried himself to a point of depression then finally told me.
Keep us updated.

They told me that this medicine should help with that. Any ideas on what it could possibly be?

Update: I took your advice and went to see a doctor. Told them my symptoms. They told me I had a fever 101. Told me that I also have blood in my urine (even though it wasn't visible) ... I asked about the sores around my mouth and tongue, but he didn't have an answer. Just said that it was 'interesting'. I asked about herpes but they told me it probably wasn't that. Said something is causing that area to be inflamed. He gave me some antibiotics.

I went through a program with my insurance. They just set me up an appointment. I walked in, they took blood and urine, and that was it. They will be emailing my results back in a few days.

Bottom line is that if you had unprotected sex and are having urethra discomfort you need to see a doctor and get tested and treated. Normally if a doctor suspects std they test and treat same day. What happened with you?

Hi and welcome. Unprotected sex puts you at risk for all stds and urethra discomfort is one of the symptoms. Usually there is a white penal discharge also. We only be guessing at this point. Did they give you any medications and what did you test for?
