Herpes Test question

I am sorry for bothering again... I am so depressed and couldnt get this feeling out of mind.

I had an oral sex encounter 7 months ago took several IGG type specific testes, last one was at 6.5 months and it was negative. All of them were from labcorp and were Captiva testes

I read some in posts saying herpesselect is accurate compared to captiva type specific test...Is there a chance my 6.5 month captiva test miss the antibodies and also does all of the people will generate antibodies by 6.5 months?

Thanks again for help...

When you say "Captiva" do you really mean "Captia"? Dr. Wald and Terri Warren have identified the HerpeSelect ELISA as having shown problems in recent years. I don't recall their mentioning the Captia ELISA as having similar problems, but this may be because it hasn't been investigated for problems.

Do get the Western Blot, to put your mind at ease at last.
