Herpes?/Time frames???????

The last time i had any sex was over 3 months ago. about two weeks ago i shaved my groin. a few days later i have a red bump on the upper part of my groin. Its only one red spot. it doesnt hurt or anything. it looks like a ingrown hair. How long would herpes take to show up is 3 months to long? and if it was a primary outbreak would it only be one red bump? How soon for an inital outbreak?

What do you mean blood tests are alway right? How can they be wrong? I have a cluster of bumps on the back of my leg and the doc thought it was shingles. They did a culture (bacteria and viral) and it came back positive for hsv2. Then I had me and my husband blood test for herpes and they came back positive. My husband has never had an outbreak and I have never had it anywhere else other than my leg. Last time I had it it was 2 years ago and I thought it was some type of spider bite. This time I had insurance so I got it tested. I went 2 years without anytype of outbreak. How could I have given it to my husband if I never had an out break and its not on my genitals? And the test were all positive.

Okay...Noclue, honestly...I'm not saying you do have herpes, I'm not going to say you don't.  But multiple things can cause blisters on your shaft.  Too much jacking off, changing your laundry detergent, washing w/ a different type of soap.  Maybe it's an allergic reaction.  Go to the CDC website, and look up genital lesions.  Blisters don't necessarily mean herpes.  If your tests came up negative at 17 weeks...you don't have herpes.

As for Tmac...if your lesions were swabbed and tested, and they came back negative...it's not herpes.  Like I was telling noclue, go to the CDC website and look up genital lesions....

Why don't you stop taking the valtrex and let the bumps come and get them cultured then you will find out exactly what they are and get a blood test. It will show up if you have it. And that goes for everyone. Get it cultured and then get a blood test. None of you are doctors and none of you are experts.

So lets say I dont have herpes. I have been off the valtrex for almost 2 weeks....so far so good as far as lesions. I stilll think I am not out of the clear yet.  I am wondering what I should do next. I still get uncomfortable dull pain in the buttock and get random pains in the leg/ arms. Also my pelvis at the joints always seem sore...its really strange and it wont go away!! Any suggestions?
