Had protected sex with a woman in Mid March. Early April, severe irritation on penis. Lymphatic system seemed inflamed. However, never any lesions. Doctor looked at it and dismissed as skin irritation. Had another bout of irritation. Then started getting ear tingling. Doctor stated that likely Herpes Zoster. Finally convinced physician to give me HSV1 and HSV2 blood work. Both came back negative. I have read that IgG can give a false negative as it takes a while to develop antibodies. . But with this timeframe could that be possible.
