Herpes on my tongue???

So I am positive for HSV I and II.  I have genital outbreaks and oral, but have never had anything on my tongue before.  Well this week I have swollen glands, an outbreak on my chin, and an odd lesion on my tongue.  I have had a very stressful past couple weeks.  Anyway, the place on my tongue is just an ulcer.  There is no blistering it isn't white or swollen and is localized to just the tip of my tongue.  I am thinking it could be thrush, because I had a vaginal yeast infection and performed oral sex on my partner after vaginal-penile sex.  However, I thought thrush was white and would affect my entire tongue.  With it occuring is conjunction with a vaginal outbreak, and an outbreak on my tongue I am inclined to believe it is from herpes.  Any thoughts???  I have been applying gentian violet which seems to be helping.  I have also started taking acyclovir.

Just wondering if you have found out from a doctor if what you have on your tongue was from herpes or yeast infection?
