Herpes or not

Hi,

My boyfriend has a very tine red dot (flat not painful or itcy) on the head of penis), lower back pain, tights pain, legs pain, very small pimple inner right right (not painfull or itchy). We are so scared if he has herpes or not ...

Any help...

lab corp only offers the captia herpes igg blood test at this point which is an elisa based blood test.

They told me lap corp offers Immunoblot too and I found this test in lapcorp website to make sure not fake..

The online test guy told me Immunoblot more sensetive than Elisa ? IS he right or playing games with me ?  I do not wanna wate my money ....

they are both about the same. the immunoblot only returns with a + or a -, it doesn't give you a numeric result to help decide if further testing is needed to rule out a false positive.

most labcorp labs still list the immunoblot but they don't actually do it any more. it automatically is run as the captia igg test.

OMG!!!! I read in some post here YOU can have herpes and ever test positive by blood test... IS this right ?

What the differnent between HSV1 and HSV2 symptoms ?

only a small percentage of folks don't test accurately on the blood tests if they wait long enough.

hsv1 and hsv2 both present the same exact way in the genital area.

Why they never test positive even after 6 months ?
