Hsv I/II IgM test results were 1.14  index is 0.00 -0.90ratio
negative 1.09

Im confused on these test results?

Well that has ruined that marriage and we have a five year old son now and since then I have thought I had Hsv for the past few years...thank you for your input....I think since its been that long i might get might doctor to perform another test to just be sure....I always had a thought in the back of my head that she had one of the nurses at the doctors office tell me that....I have found out things since then about her cheating on me while we were married though....thanks again...

You do not have hsv2. If your ex tested + for hsv2, she didn't get it from you.

darn shame her doctors were not knowledgeable enough about herpes blood testing to properly interpret the results :(

The paperwork for my results that my doctor ordered on 05/19/06 stated HSV Type II specific Antibodies Test...On the results of that one it only showed that a HSV Type 2-specific AB, IgG was completed and showed a negative...My personal doctors office told me at this time I did not have it....I had the test because me and my ex wife now were at the time split up for a few months and she went to her doctor and because she had a break out...she confronted me of cheating and blamed me for giving it to her....she still thought I did after this test was completed. so almost two months later her gyno wanted the first test results and they were faxed to her...my ex stated that my doctor didnt perform the right test and ordered the two test above which were a the same HSV I/II type specific test IgG which came back negative and the other test of HSV I/II IgM test which was the 1.14....my ex's doctors office told me I was positive after they had told her first...I was crushed because me and my ex had not been together for months and months due to being split up and I hadnt been with anyone else.....but after her doctors told her and me that I was positive she has blamed me for cheating on her till this day...I have never had any signs or symptons that I have researched on the computer..I also have had a striclty monogumous relationship with someone for over a year and half and neither one of us have had any  breakouts or anything. Im confused I kinda dont think I have it but am not sure...please help

The igm test is pretty much meaningless for herpes. Totally disregard the results of it and don't allow them to draw it on you again ever .  http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/248394  is a prior post that goes into more details as to why not.

It also appears that you had a non-type specific igg test done which is also normally worthless. Yours however is negative so really no reason at this point to seek out additional testing.  

What led you to get tested? How long after any sex act that you were concerned about did you have the testing done?
