Herpes or yeast? Or bacteria? Help me please

So it started exactly a week after drunken unprotected sex. My scrotum and penis started burning. Tingling in both feet. No sores. Went to doctor had std tests done. Herpes 1 and 2 igg and igm test two weeks post exposure. Both negative hiv chlamydia and gonnerea negative. They are saying it’s yeast. I’m a very active but clean man. Shower everyday. Well now it’s been almost 2 weeks since tests and I’m still feeling burning in my penis and itchy scrotum. Not too bad of an itch but burning sucks. I feel like it’s in my pee hole. They gave me nystatin cream which seems to help a little but never gets fully rid of the burning. My scrotum burns under my left testicle. And the tingling in my foot drives me nuts. It feels like it’s cold but it’s not. . Anybody have any idea what this could be? Could it still be herpes even tho tests were negative? Please help!!

Try to test for mycoplasma and ureaplasma as well.. you need to ask them NSU while doing the test..

Ok update. I have now been to 3 different doctors all saying it’s fungal. I got two fungal pills which didn’t help. I’ve been on nystatin and another fungal creme plus one that is fungal and steriod. Nothing is helping. Negative for everything. I didn’t get NSU test but they took blood and urine. Constant tingling and burning in my scrotum red rash on left side of scrotum. Slight burn when I pee and frequent urge to pee. Also feel tingling like icy hot feeling down my things, legs, and into my toes. More pro dominantly in the left leg. I’m at a loss everyone thinks it’s fungal but I’m pretty sure it’s not. Idk anymore

For accuracy of a herpes test, you need to wait at least 12 weeks from a potential exposure. Then it would be an IgG test, never an IGM because they are notoriously inaccurate. HSV IgG testing isn’t fool proof either. It is very accurate for HSV2 but misses a substantial number of HSV1 infections (up to 30%).
Of course, the most accurate testing would be a PCR swab, not a viral culture, on an active lesion or cut.
This honestly sounds like to could be yeast or bacteria. How long has the burning been going on? Did you receive oral sex during the encounter? I would wait until 12 weeks has passed and test again with the IgG but without lesions or sores or “cuts”, I am thinking more along the lines of a yeast infection of some form.

Yes I received oral sex both were unprotected. The doctors think it’s fungal but what’s throwing me off is no rash
You wouldn’t necessarily have a rash with a bacterial or yeast infection. It doesn’t mean you aren’t clean. If you sweat, have sex, hell...if you LIVE, you can get a yeast infection. Hsv can present itself in atypical ways but what you’re experiencing sounds fungal. I would inquire about diflucan or another yeast medication and see if that helps.
