Herpes or...?

Well, for the past couple weeks I'be been having an issue. In the area under my hair on my bottom lip (my "flavor saver") I get a few white pus filled sores.. sometimes if pop them they fill right back up with the same white pus. They seem to be right under the hair, and if i give a slight tug on the certain hairs it is extremely painful. Once, I plucked the hairs that hurt and the next day the white pus sores seemed to be worse. I got clear of of em' about a week ago... But i was picking at em... They came back about 2 days ago, and now I've been so careful with them using neosporin. Now they seem to be healed. Hehe what's the deal... Does it seem like a cold sore? Or what? Btw, this same thing happened to me once before about a year ago. Thanks.

in your age group, 1 out of every 3 people has hsv1. yes it's common but hsv1 is the cause of 70% of all newly acquired genital herpes infections in your same age bracket so indeed knowing your herpes status is very important from a hsv1 standpoint as well as hsv2.

On my tongue yes, turns out it was geographic tongue. My GP told me they don't think its needed to get a blood test for herpes since "almost everybody has been exposed". I feel like that was a stupid response, especially from a doctor. I'll probly get it swabbed when it breaks out again. Though my studies tell me that my symptoms are more than likely folliculitis. I do work in the medical field and not everybody cleans the ambulances very well, guessing there is a lot of mrsa everywhere.

odds are this isn't herpes going on.  be seen and get them properly looked at for a better diagnosis.

have you ever been tested for herpes ?
