It has been 28 days now, no signs of herpes. Shame the NHS don't test for hsv. At least I am in the clear
No you don't. If you had contracted hsv1 from oral sex you would have known it. Hsv 1genital infections are very rarely asymptomatic. You can be confident you did not contract hsv from this.
The NHS will not test me for herpes at all. I have no sores, spots or lesions on my gential area. My penis has looked okay for the past 15 days since oral sex.
Do I need a test?
The NHS will only test me for Chlamydia, Gono, syphilis and HIV.
Not a sign of hsv. They maybe itching because of some mild irritation from constant inspection.
Thanks. Last question - is it normal for small white penile spots such as Fordyce spots to be itchy and hard for two days? Mine are itchy and hard on my testicles. Is it a sign of herpes. My penis looks normal
No need for testing any further from this exposure. Thats my advice. Your genital sensations seem to be very normal for someone that is hyper aware of the area.
Thanks. It's day 12, I have no visual symptoms on penis however I have a 24/7 slight burning gential focused sensation on penis foreskin and testicles only however not during urination. Also I have a full negative 10 parameter urine urinalysis test dipstick (LE, Nitrates etc).
I am passed the 4-7 days for the first symptoms to show up. I have no obvious sores, uclers or blisters, red spots.
Any more good advice? I am asking for advice because NHS will only deal with patients with symptoms and only test if you got symptoms.
After 10 days the likely hood of an outbreak decreases greatly. Most outbreaks start 3-5 days after. The odds of contracting hsv from a one time exposure with a positive partner would be about 1 in a 1000. Odds are certainly in your favor.
