Tingling/numbness for 6 months is far more likely to be from a nerve issue than from herpes. You should follow up on it with your regular doctor and/or a neurologist.  Don't assume everything that goes on in the body is due to herpes.

I know, it took me a year of crying to my doctor, and he finally prescribed me the Cymbalta for depression..due to  you know what, and said it will help with the pain associated with the virus.  It really helps, I was very suicidal, and now i'd say i'm ok 90% of the time verses 2% that I was.  I hope this helps you.

Why won't my doctors prescribe me any medication.  All they said, was yes you have been exposed to HSV 1 at sometime in your life.  While damn, I know that and I can pinpoint when.  Shortly after I developed these damn symptoms.  That's is why I dropped Kaiser and picked up CareFirst.  For over 11 month, I have been feeling some crazy symptom on a daily basis.  I want my old life back damnit!
