So did my first testing after intercourse which was 3 weeks all results came back negative for all std and hiv rna hsv2 came back 1.50 which fell into positive range dr prescribed me acyclovir for 10 days then went on and got tested a week later my results were 1.17 which went down my dr told me if the range goes down that’s good that means I only have antibodies to the hsv2 but not the actual virus which confused me because everywhere else on online said if you have it you have it that’s it then went somewhere else another week later and now my results are equivocal 1.03 could this mean that it was a false positive to begin with he told me to check again in 6 months no outbreaks and dr said most likely won’t get any I could have had a false positive from the beginning so do I have hsv2 he told me not to worry at this point because equivocal can mean either or but when I get older I might get shingles I’m so confused
