Herpes type 2 by making out in Jacuzzi?

Hi,

On the 20th of April I was making out in a small jacuzzi with a girl who might have herpes type 2. The jacuzzi had a bit chlorine in it and a lot of soap (1 Liter for a three person jacuzzi). We were both naked and were close to each other. She was sitting on my lap and we were kissing, we were not having sex and the genitals did not touch each other.
After 5 days the skin under my foreskin was red. When I pulled it back it looked like a red ring around my penis. No itching or anything else.  It went away after a couple of days.
17 days ( on May the 7th) I woke up with itching on my body. Mostly around my genital area, but not on my penis, only a bit on my scrotum. Right now the main itching and sometimes a bit hot part is my thight until my knees(!) and a bit the rest of the area around my penis. No rashes, pimples or open soures. It is a bit peculiar that the areas where it is itching are mostly symmetrical, that's why I am thinking it is connected to the jacuzzi.
Are these symptoms of Herpes type 2? When can I get tested?
Please help I am getting crazy.

Thanks in advance.

You need to see a counselor for your anxiety regarding this.  You would not have missed typical herpes lesions.  The girl you were with should get tested to find out her status and you should get tested three months from your possible exposure to know your status.  Your symptoms do not sound herpes related.

Once again, making out with someone in a jacuzzi is zero risk for getting Herpes.

I am so scared of having it that I do not even have a look at my genitals On my own anymore. Over the last two weeks I was seeing a doctor almost every second day to check with him together. Could we have missed typical herpes blisters or lesions when we r only checking every second day? I was seeing different doctors.

Sorry for asking again.
But is there a possibility to overlook a typical herpes lesion or blister, because it vanishes in a very quick time (less than 12 hours) AND it is not painful?
From my current information the visible herpes symptoms stay at least for couple of days and/or are painful. Is that right?

(I am just asking because I want to make sure that I have not overlooked a typical symptom)

I am just super precise right now and am trying to understand everything as good as possible to ease my mind. Already taking pills against anxiety.  Thank you very much. I don't want to sound unthankful. I am the opposite. Thanks!!

I already listed the most likely possibilities for your symptoms.

yes, I thought that you were just answering only regarding my jacuzzi story, but that is why I specifically added in my very last post that I was at risk one week before that and that these symptoms might be of that encounter as well.
i went to some doctors (probably less experienced thant you) and they said that these symptoms are probably not herpes related, but they also cannot give me any other possible cause for the itching without(!) any visible abnormalities. Hope you had a theory which could ease my mind for the upcoming two month until I can get tested.

my last reply was to your further jacuzzi questions.

really, you need to stop worrying like this. follow up on testing from your other encounter at the times I recommended and for what.

Now I know that I was not in danger from this encounter in the jacuzzi, but as described in this thread http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Herpes/Herpes-Type-2-from-sex-with-girl-IgG-equivocal-102/show/1940713#post_9076964. I had protected sex with that girl 4 weeks ago. In this thread you said that there was a possible risk! Can you please answer my questions also regarding that?
Sorry for splitting up a thread. I thought it was a good idea, but it obvisouly wasn't. Sorry. I will never do it again!!!!!!

Furthermore:
Two days ago my doctor gave me "Xyzal (Levocetirizine)" against the itching and after 1.5 days it is not itching anymore. Maybe just very slightly on local spots. The only difference to "normal" is only that my my gential area, and my whole tights until my knees feel warmer. Is that a good sign regarding having herpes or does it say nothing? Should I stop taking it? Can I conclude anything if it start itching again after I stopped taking it?

once again, you were not at risk for herpes.

follow up monday on your itching/rash. likely to be irritation, folliculitis or a fungal infection more than anything.

What I also want to add the girl was rubbing my penis under water a bit. So if she had touched her genitals and then my penis would this be of risk?

Please answer:
1) How high is the risk contracting herpes type 2 with the "Jacuzzi situation" described in this thread?
2) Do the symptoms I described in all the posts in this thread sound like herpes?
3) If it not herpes, what could it be?

Sometimes the area where it is itchy it seems that the base of the hair is infected. These hairs seem to grow out of a small pimple which shines a bit white where the hair comes out. These pimples vanish quite quickly. Would herpes pimples look like that?
Does this "symptom" or the other mentioned above sound like herpes?

Hello gracefromHHP,
Hello shipwrecked,

I had two intimate encounter with that girl seven days before this Jacuzzi situation I had protected sex with her which I described in this thread:
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Herpes/Herpes-Type-2-from-sex-with-girl-IgG-equivocal-102/show/1940713#post_9076964
At that time of writing I did not even think that making out naked in a whirlpool with all the foam would be a possible way of infection with STDs. But I read online that it could happen. So I got worried. Especially when I saw the unusual body changes which I described. To make it not too complicated I started a new thread.
Apart from the low risk you say both of theses situations had, do the unusual body changes I described in both threads sound like herpes? If it is not herpes what can it be?

this was no risk.  herpes doesn't swim through water to infect someone.

we've discussed your situation in your original post too.

No, herpes does not spread in this way.  Herpes spreads through fiction with other people
s genitals, ie, penetrative sex or oral sex.  You can't get herpes from making out with someone in a jacuzzi.  Your symptoms are most likely made up in your head.  Also, you don't even know if this girl has herpes.  Why not ask her what her status is?

At the end of the day, this encounter carried no risk and you don't need testing.  If you have symptoms, they are unrelated to genital herpes and you should see a doctor.

Thanks for your answer, but we were making out naked in a small jacuzzi (equal to a whirl pool). So wouldn't it be possible that the viruses were "swimming" around everywhere and I was thus completely exposed to the virus!? This would explain why I am itching at most of the places in my genital area.
(to precise what I was writing in my first post: The most itching is on the inside(!) of my both thights until my knees)

You can get definitive results 3 months from exposure.  However, it doesn't really sound like you were at risk.  If your genitals didn't touch and she had no exposed sores, you had no risk.  You can't get genital herpes from making out with someone.
