Yes, abnormal cells caused by HSV is diagnosed with a PAP. You're confusing it with HSV, Herpes Simplex virus. Completely different virus.
Sorry. I had abnormal cells caused by HPV. So now I just associate pap smears with HPV. I will keep that in mind. ;)
a pap test doesn't check for any std ( not even hpv unless you have a specific brand that does also check for hpv ). It only looks for abnormal cervical cells.
You need to go and be seen and get a proper work up done.

You are better off keeping your post here. I replied to you in the std forum. There are a few of us that reply in multiple forums.
Pap smears only test for HPV (cervical cancer strains). Chlamydia and gonorrhea may be tested for at the same time but that is all. Pap smears are not to be confused with std testing.
I do get the pap smear every year and last one was in october this has never happened.
you have no choice - you need to go and be seen and get a proper exam done.
odds are neither of you have never been tested for herpes before either.
