Hsv1 can have false positives as well. I've had one. Either way i would wait a month or so and retest. The symptoms you describe are not typical of hsv at all.
None of your symptoms point to hsv1. Hsv1 igg tests are not very accurate. The igg test can miss up to 25% of infections. In my opinion, if you do actually have hsv1 its far more probable that you got it as a child and don't get cold sores. Nothing you describe sounds like a newly acquired hsv primary outbreak. No lesions is a dead give away. Also the fact you had pain the next day which is to soon to be hsv.
Disreguard the igm. Wait a month and retest.
Anyone else actually have consistently low HSV1 IGG levels that even come back lower as time passes?
Lab 1 3 tests Negative @ 4,6 & 8 weeks
Lab Corp 2.35 and 1.9 @ 4 & 6 weeks
Quest 1.5 @ 8 weeks
Is the lab right that antibodies can get lower if no outbreaks?
Hsv tests can pick up other odd protiens of similar weight. That being said it could also be a l9ng standing infection the test has a difficult time picking up. Hsv1 testing isn't the best. You can get a western blot test to confirm.
I just want to add that I did get what I thought was food poisoning or just sickness from the antibiotics I was taking 1 week post. I had a slight fever for half a day and really bad diarrhea.
