Herpes?

I had done some foreplay and washed my hands quick after but not thoroughly.a few minutes later i picked out a booger from my sons nose. Is it possible the herpes virus could still be in my fingernail and somehow get passed through his nose? If i sound ridiculous forgive me i know nothing about herpes but the fact that i have it.

Not a chance. The virus dies quickly when exposed. Even under the nail it's still exposed.
Thank you

Thank you for that but may i ask how you are sure of it? im really curious and paranoid especially cause there might have been some vaginal fluidd remains undder fingernail.

Hsv is not concentrated in fluids. Genital hsv is an std and called this because that's what it takes to spread it. Hsv is not going to be transmited like you described. Even if you didn't wash your hands, the answer will remain the same. There isn't enough viral load.
ok. would the situation change if there was an outbreak? thank you for answering these questions , how do
you know so much about herpes?
The situation really wouldn't change much. Once you washed your hands there would be zero chance. If you didn't was your hands the odds would still be astronomically low.
I had a hsv scare and decided to learn as much as i could. I've been lucky enough to learn from some of the very best herpes experts and spent some time with lab techs from the university of Washington. The home of the western blot. Way to much time invested. Lol
