Herpes likelihood?

Worried about herpes...

I had unprotected oral sex with a new partner (partner 1) on 10th June, had no symptoms of any infection.

I had unprotected oral sex and inserted the penis into vagina of another new partner (partner 2) on 17th June, few days later I developed a sore throats with swollen glands to the point I was struggling to swallow, this subsided but didn't finally go for a few weeks, I did visit the doctors the week after and he said there was a lot of mucus on the throat but said to see how it goes.

Then on the 30th June I had protected sex with partner 1, at the time she had a cold sore so we only had sex and no oral or kissing, however we touched hands etc. A couple of days after this encounter I developed an itch in the anus and pubic hair, the anus got quite red and was sore when wiping but I thought this was just down to poor hygiene as I've had similar before, without the pubic itching, I did look and there were no obvious signs of blisters.

The sore anus has passed but the itchiness of the pubic area and anus, sometimes small burning sensation is still present which is now over 8 weeks. The itching comes and goes and isn't constant, there are no obvious blisters, or rash. I also developed burning lips which started on 13th July and lasted a week or so, but there have been no cold sores I just developed what looked like cuts, my lips still randomly burn and tingle now every now and again a few weeks later.

The latest symptom is like a burning, tingling sensation in the buttocks which is uncomfortable.

I've visited the GUM and GP, had tests for chlamydia/gonorrhoea/syphillis/HIV for tests after 28 days all coming back negative. When mentioning herpes testing they said it is possible but couldn't test as no lesions.

Could this be herpes I'm freaking out? After ruling out all the other typical STDs it's looking like it could only be herpes? I've tried clotrizamole cream for jock itch but didn't work and used cream for pubic lice to no avail.

I've said it before. None of tour issues sound hsv related and your tests are proving this. At 9 weeks your test is around 85% conclusive. Test again at 12 and when it comes back negative move on and let it go

My concern is the partner with confirmed herpes infection (cold sores) unsure whether any genital herpes is present with her. I have never had any issues in the genital region, and I had been in a 5 year relationship prior to this with no issues so this is something new.

These issues started a couple of days after sex with the concerned partner, tingling, itching and burning in the anus area was intense and was present in the pubic area region, no issues with the penis as this was protected with a condom. I inspected the anus everyday as it was sore and tingling but I never seen any obvious blisters but it is hard to see. I mentioned my scrotum in a comment above was burning but I now think this was down to the clotzrizamole I applied as it made my scrotum red so need to disregard this as a symptom. the symptoms over the past couple of days have died down but are still present, which is 8/9 weeks since exposure, which I know doesn't seem to fit with herpes but could it?

I'm just really struggling to understand what else this could be, because it was an onset from that night and I've tested negative for everything else, the GUM clinic really didn't have any idea saying it could be herpes.

If lips tingle and burn I know this is a sign of oral herpes, I had that for a week or so but no obvious sores just cuts, and small white spots that looked like fordyce spots.

As you say it's hard when you don't understand the virus but the anus issues cause me concern as the symptoms list does contain many of what I've experience. There was no contact with the anal area, and the GUM clinic said that it would be strange to experience it there if there was no contact, how accurate is this statement? The issues around the pubic area like tingling, burning we're in the same specific places but no lesions developed.

I had a blood test 4 weeks and 9 weeks post exposure and they were both negative, slight increase on HSV1 0.07 to 0.10, HSV2 less than 0.5 in both cases. Is my only option to wait till 12 weeks? And is that conclusive? Or do I have to wait longer?

I want to continue living a normal sex life but I'm scared to meet new people at the minute why this hangs over me, and it's really getting to me at the minute.

If you were to get flu like symptoms with the primary you would have very noticable lesions. Unfortunately when you don't have a good knowledge on how the virus works it makes it impossible to understand the context of the symptoms lists. None of what you describe is herpes related

If the first incident was unrelated and I did contract herpes from the partner who is confirmed HSV1 due to cold sore. What would tingling/crawling feel like? I.e. A couple of evenings it felt like crawling/tingling areas had developed around the scrotum and pubic area, one evening it was very irritable and felt like the whole scrotum was being affected, like the nerves were being stimulated, would this be common? Or would it tend to affect just one specific area? Thankyou for your comments previously, I'm just trying to understand the virus.
Also, if I were to do a blood test, at what point are they considered conclusive? How accurate after 9 weeks?

How true is it that lesions always present as I've read they don't always? And they would be very noticeable I.e I wouldn't miss them?

The anus was red, blood was present a couple of times when wiping but don't know if this was from excess wiping due to increased bowel movement during that time, would this be representative of a lesion?

Itching/burning symptoms or tingling, would you expect symptoms to develop over a couple of weeks or come at once? I know it may not be herpes but I'm just trying to understand. For example if you developed flu symptoms at day 1 then could you develop burning itching a couple of weeks later as part of the same outbreak?

Cheers

Along with the swollen glands etc I had flu like symptoms fever etc.

One question I forgot to include was would it be common to experience thirds symptoms in the mouth, pubic area and anus? I can understand mouth through oral and pubic area from receiving oral but there was no activity near the anus?
