the same nerves that supply the genital area, also supply the whole way down the leg.  herpes sometimes travels further down the nerve than usual and can cause obvious lesions in those areas.

we really don't know. not many folks get hsv2 on non-genital body parts only for us to study it.

are you on suppressive therapy?  that alone takes a  male partner's risk down to 2%/year of contracting hsv2 from you. throw in condoms too and it's a 1% risk/year. that's the same risk as the ideal risk of pregnancy on the bc pill ( real use is closer to 8% with the pill ).

what a tricky little thing! Ok.. so my final question is... if I were to infect my partner with the lesion on my arm, onto his arm or other body apart from genital area.... would that eliminate/decrease the chances of him getting HSV2 on his genitals?....

Sorry about that I'm new to this. Its normal for it to reoccur at the knee? I have never heard of such a thing. How come it reoccurs there?.... I just thought I got it ... maybe similar to how wrestlers get it on their bodies...

it's most helpful when you just keep adding to your original post instead of making a new one each time. thank you for your future cooperation with this.

above the knee is a  normal place for the virus to reoccur at.

the elbow was about as much of bad luck as you can get though if indeed you did have eczema on it at one point and then active virus was in contact with it, it would make it easier than normal to infect there.  You'll probably never figure out the exact how though you could make a very good story out of if as far as how limber you are you in the bedroom ;)
