I would go to urgent care to get it cultured today. My outbreaks doesn’t present itself as the classic normal outbreak. I get one small spot. Doesn’t itch, hurt, no tingling, it doesn’t scab over or have any fluid. Just one single spot. Even two doctors didn’t think it was herpes. I’ve only had it twice. It’s occurred in the same spot both times. No other symptoms. My lymph node wasn’t swollen by the looks of it, but was sensitive when I pressed on the lymph node, but you couldn’t see by just looking. If I hadn’t got it tested, I would’ve never known since it doesn’t resemble herpes and I had no other classic symptoms. I realized I had mine by just wiping when I went to the bathroom. Took a magnifying mirror to even see it. The sooner you go the better chances you have of get a reliable result. The first time I had it tested, they couldn’t get a result since I waited too long and they didn’t get an aquedate sample (because there’s no fluid). The second time I made sure they really scraped it and dig in there good since I still didn’t have any fluid or blister like substance to make sure they had enough to test.
