if you have hsv2, your wife knowing about it while pregnant is pretty important.  It's going to be almost impossible to avoid sex for her entire pregnancy.

If you take daily suppressive therapy with valtrex , avoid sex anytime you have any symptoms genitally and use condoms ( even while she is pregnant ), you reduce her risk of contracting hsv2 significantly.  She would be 97-98% protected against the transmission of hsv2 with those precautions.

Hsv2 acquisition during the last trimester of pregnancy can result in an increased risk of transmission to the baby during birth. It's really important to have the talk with your wife about your herpes!

Yes you need to disclose your herpes to the doctor for your wifes protection.

Hi, if she took the test 3 months from any sexual exposure, then yes. Also 8 weeks  would be a good indicator.
