Oh, your dates are reversed from the way I was reading them, perhaps you live in a place other than the US?
Your April 20 HSV 2 value appears to fall below 3.5. Any ELISA value that falls between 1.1 and 3.5 should be confirmed by a second test, preferably the western blot from the University of Washington.
This will be my last response to this thread

OK, if your HSV 2 swab test on May 3 was negative, and your HSV 2 antibody test (make sure it was IgG) on May 4 was positive, that means you have established infection, not new infection. What was the index value of the HSV 2 antibody test? And was your wife actually tested for HSV 2, or are you assuming she is HSV 1 positive because she has oral herpes? An HSV 1 antibody test does not tell you where infection is, only that you have it. But a cold sore history would tell you that someone is infected orally. And was the HPV a swab test or an antibody test? I'm confused about your itching dates? Is that March 23?

i have no visible outbreak, only severe itchingfrom anus ,prostate and urethra,from23/03/09 for about 10days.
1) i was exposed on that dayfrom another girl
2)on 05/03/09 i test -ve with hsv2 hpv dna pcr give hpv31(reconfirm with another lab test 10 days afterwards) ,blood igg test on 05/04/2009 give my the hsv2 bad news
3)she is hsv1 +ve oral only
I"m curious about a few facts -
1) how do you know the date of your infection? Did you have a positive swab test combined with a negative antibody test for HS 2 at that time? That is the only way to know that this was your first infection
2) how did you come up with an HPV test, what was the location, how was it gathered, and who indicated to you that it was type 31?
3) has your wife actually been tested for HSV 2 and and is antibody negative? Is she also negative for HSV 1?
If you use condoms and continue to take daily medicine, the risk of her getting HSV 2 from you in a year having sex twice a week is about 2-3%, without condom about 5%.
Genital HSV and HPV will not be transmitted to your wife via kissing, no, nor through giving her oral sex.
