How to clear rash marks

Hi Grace!

I'm back and doing well.  I still have OBs' all the time with suppressive therapy and I get rashes on my bottom area ALL THE TIME since my diagnosis in November.  I seem to notice that the rash marks never go away and flame up whenever I start to get an OB.  Is there any lotion or could I try aloe to sooth the skin and clear it up?  I didn't want to try anything until I asked your opinion.  Hope you are well!

Just to update you... The dots on my bottom had to deal with something of the hair follicles.  But, I'm still trying to figure out the discoloration on my bottom.

I had to sleep without underwear and it really helped my bottom.
I also started rash symptoms again on my bottom, so hopefully its not another outbreak.
I'm going to call planned parenthood and see if they could help me. I know my doctor could help, but I need to make an appointment 3 months ahead.

usually recurrences are a single lesion.  really sounds like more than a herpes issue going on.

since these symptoms occur during your period, perhaps it's the feminine protection products you are using?  they are constantly changing the ingredients in them and even if you always use the same kind, you can still develop sensitivities to them.

For me, the redness on on of my bottom cheeks left, but the other cheek still has it.  It becomes VERY red during outbreaks with bumps all over my bottom. Never had this in my lifetime until the third outbreak.  My bottom always hurts when I don't sit on anything soft now.
I don't have symptoms all the time. I seem to get symptoms and then outbreaks only during my period.

So is it unlikely to have symptoms all the time? Cuz thats what it has been like for me. Its been months dealing with the discomfort and such.

Hi Grace,

The only way to describe the area are red patches that flair up on my bottom and then have small herpes all over my bottom.  (Another outbreak last week and it happened again). I have an appointment March 22nd and I'll ask him about it.  I'll let you know any updates :)

you wouldn't have marks from herpes all the time. you really need to have these looked at at your appointment.

Hi Grace,

Sorry its taken me a long time to get back to you.  Overwhelmed with life... I haven't had anyone look at it because I figured its from genital herpes.  The red marks stay on my bottom all the time and when I have an outbreak, it flares up.  I do see a dermatologist in March for my acne and I could ask him. I just never brought it to his attention because he's young and I'm embarrassed to talk to him about it. For any herpes information, I've been going to my general doctor and she's been amazing. To see her, it takes months because I have state insurance.  I'm thinking to just put aloe on it.
It doesn't hurt, just upsetting to look at.  I use to have really nice skin on my bottom until diagnosed with HSV-2.
