pcr testing

what should i expect for a pcr year for hsv1 vaginally? i have had a burning, sore and tender vagina for a year now. no bumps or rashes ever. i’ve had biopsies which came back as just chronic inflammation with no real reason and have even been diagnosed with vestibulodynia with no relief from treatment. how will this test work if i have no blisters/bumps..etc.

The fact that your symptoms are constant means it's not herpes related. Herpes just does not constantly persist like that. I do wish you all the best in finding some relief.

It will only work if hsv is at the surface at time of testing
