Hsv2 igg clarity.

Im currently in my 2 trimester of pregnancy few weeks ago had test done for routine pregnancy labs and herpes 1/2
I tested neg for hsv 1 igg negative and hsv 2 at 1.13 i'm worried as i have never experienced
any symptom before and confused as to why my doctor ordered this without telling me. Should this be considered a false positive? Should I worry?

In all likelihood this is a low false positive. Pretty common. I would retest in a few weeks. Hsv2 igg tests are very sensitive. It can pick up other odd protiens. Anything less than a 3.5 is suspect for a false positive. Think of the numeric value as a confidence number. The higher the number the more confident the test is in seeing the antibodies. A 1.13 is not confident at all.
