I hate this

I am herpes carrier since 2006, I took medicine but i still notice a blister sometimes in my belly and face but none in my genital.  My doctor told me to take again the antibiotics for 7 days. I just want to know if after taking those medicines can cure the virus? I hate my husband for giving me this virus, our marriage now is on the rocks.  I have a suitor now, if i make love to him after taking those medicine,  is he safe?

There is really no such thing as being a herpes "carrier" - either you have the virus or you don't.  Antibiotics will not cure herpes, in fact, they will do nothing to alleviate symptoms either.  Antiviral medication, such as Valtrex (valacyclovir), Famvir (famiciclovir), or Zovirax (acyclovir) can help suppress the virus so you will have less outbreaks and less frequent viral shedding, but it cannot be cured.  However, you can still transmit the virus while on this medication, even if you are not having an outbreak.  You mention you have a blister on your belly and face but none on your genitals?  Do you have HSV-2?  How were you diagnosed?  My suggestion would be to do lots of research about herpes from credible sources (don't believe everything you read online!!)  Find a herpes-knowledgeable provider to help you through this.
Good luck,
Em
