I have it, he doesn't

I was recently diagnosed with herpes, HSY1 and HSV2. I have never had a cold sore or fever blister in my life. I never started showing symptoms til about 2 years ago.  When I met my fiance.  Could it be possible that he is a carrier of the herpes virus and he just doesn't show symptoms??  When we first started having sex it was unprotected, and then I noticed little sores and then they went away.  He said he doesn't have any sores, so now we use condoms so he doesn't get infected with it.  I need some answers on this please.

no reason not to give you your results over the phone. you don't have to pay to talk to your doctor about this!

Well they drew my blood in february they should still have the results on file. I will call Monday and see if I can come in and talk to the doctor about it. They might not give me the results over the phone. And ever since I found out I had it we have been using condoms now.

you can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take until you know who has what. encourage him to be seen sooner rather than later for his testing so that you two can deal with this properly.

If you call monday and ask them to read you your actual test results, write them down and post them here, I'll gladly look at them to see if you need more testing or not. All I need to see are the actual numeric results - e.g. hsv1 igg 7.6 and hsv2 igg 3.4 or whatever they are.

Im not sure what test it was. The doctor just told me it was a test for HSV1 and HSV2.  And I told him that I have it and he should get tested for it. But he hasn't shown any sypmtoms and we have been dating for 2 years now.  He said he will get test someday soon, but he said he wasn't really worried about it. If he has it he has it, is what he told me.  I'm thinking that maybe he is a carrier of the virus and shows NO sypmtoms.
