You dont need biokit or anything else and can safely have relationship with your partner with no worries
You dont have anything to even slightly suggest herpes infection what are you worried about.
If it's been 5 months and you had an IgG test and you were negative, you can rest assure i am pretty sure. Unlikely you have hsv 2.
Thanks. I felt pretty ok, but really started to worry. It may have even been closer to six or even seven months. I know there is a small chance I could have been exposed by this new girl. I just didn't want to have exposed her. Not that Iit's a great thing if she exposed me, but I can handle that and work through it with her. The other way around would have been worse.
negative IgG at 5 months should be considered unequivocal. If you still have concerns about HSV2 positivity, find an infectious disease practice or family planning or STD practice that has the "Biokit HSV2 rapid assay"...this, combined with IgG results will be effectively conclusive.
It says hsv1/2 igg ab....that's negative. I'm not sure what test that is, that's all the info I can get from my chart online
If it was an IgG test absoulutely conclusive
Oddly my biggest Concern was my test was false and I exposed her. Five months negative result is pretty conclusive that I don't have herpes prior to her right?
No symptoms after. Neither of us have ever had symptoms. I'm not sure honestly what type of test, the site I can look it up on is down, but when it's up I'll post the results.
Ignore the IgM test it has a very high fale positive rate and useless for herpes testing. Trust the result of an IgG 12-16 weeks post last sexual encounter.
Oral sex is low risk if there wasn no sores present on her mouth. Most likely you will remain negative if you didnt have any sores/sypmtoms on your genitals after the oral sex. Also what test did you take is it type specific?
