It has been 7 months post exposure. I am scheduled for IGG blood draw tomorrow. I as you have read before I had a for lack of better term mutual masturbation experience. Which I understand is has a little or no occurrence of spreading HSV even if the individual has HSV and has touched himself and now touch me. I don't believe I have had an outbreak. My symptoms are as follows: it doesn't burn to urinate but I am unable to empty my bladder completely thus I leak little urine and it stings under the head of my penis. I also complicated the situation by allowing my self to become super dehydrated concentrating my urine even more and wearing the same spandex shorts for several sweaty hours (40+ per week) allowing fungus and god knows what to attack my penis. However I have been test for every STD under the sun except Herpes IGG all have been negative but the IGM test. Wish me luck.
.
the herpes igm test is a greatly flawed test and we never recommend it being used on adults.
A + igm is meaningless.
at this point , unless you get symptoms that can be cultured, nothing you can do but repeat the herpes igg blood test 3 or 4 months post encounter.
did you also have an igg herpes test done too?
