IgG blood Test Negative at 7 weeks

IgG blood test negative at 7 weeks from protected intercourse with HSV2 positive female. Crawling sensation in skin around genial area and face. Bad facial acne that won't go away. Lower back pain. Overall fatigue. How long should I wait to get another blood test? Something is definitely wrong with my body. Herpes hasn't presented in normal lesions that I have see on internet. Still very suspicious that I have it. Initial symptoms started with red rash in pubic hair 24 hours after sex. Started getting zits around mouth that are not going away after 7 weeks!! Please help!

I glanced at your other thread. You've had conflicing and hence confusing replies.  At this point, however, it is exceedling unlikely you caught herpes, and even if you did, it is not the cause of any of your symptoms.

First, the chance of catching HSV2 from a single exposure to an infected partner is low. Second, no HSV infection can start to cause symptoms within 24 hours of exposure, and pubic area rash is not typical for herpes -- so you can dismiss that. Third, herpes would not cause "zits around mouth" that would last this long. Fourth, although it can take 12 or more weeks for the blood test to become positive, it usually takes only 3-6 weeks, especially there are symptoms of herpes. Fifth, although initial herpes can cause systemic symptoms like fever, headache, backache, etc, these occur only in the presence of obvious herpes lesions (blisters, sores) -- usually lots of them and very painful. Finally, there is no way HSV would cause the "crawling sensation" you have experienced.

If you want definitive proof you didn't acquire HSV from your exposure 7 week ago, you can have another blood test at 12 weeks. But you definitely can expect another negative result. And even if positive, it won't explain any of your current symptoms -- so you should now assume you don't have herpes and start to work with your doctor to look for other explanations for your symptoms.

Good luck with it!
