Transmission possibility

Quick question... My friend and I had a few too many beers and she licked the side of my face and gave me a quick peck on the lips. (like 2 seconds) She has a history of cold sores but there was not one visible.  It has been 11 days since and other than paranoia, I have no blisters.  She has since developed a cold sore in the past 2 days (9 days after our incident).  DOes this pose a risk?  Would I have symptoms by now.  Thanks for your help.

cold sores would appear within 2-20 days or so.

as an adult, romantic type kisses are how we contract oral herpes, not social pecks or licking.

Also what would be the incubation period since today is now 12 days?

Yes.  I was negative.  I was a little more concerned about the kiss on the lips.  It was a quick peck but still concerned me.  Is that risk low too???  It really made me think of all the casual hello kisses we give to people all the time..thanks for your reply.

statistically 1 out of every 2-3 people you know has hsv1. It's incredibly common. licking the side of your face, even if you yourself don't have hsv1, isn't really a risk.  her having a cold sore 9 days post incident is meaningless.

have you ever been tested to know your own status?
