No, rubbing on a sensitive area, such as the penis, is the only practical chance of infection

Can I transmit the virus to him if he touches your vagina and he does not have HSV1?

I contracted it through oral sex from an ex who had oral HSV1  2 years ago and I have only had one initial outbreak.   I was swab tested. I have not disclosed anything to my new boyfriend until I understand transmission. We are not having sex.

How were diagnosed with genital HSV1?

Sex with you during shedding (which you may very well not know is happening) carries a small risk of transmission, not more than 1 in 200.

If your partner already has HSV1, quite likely, then there is no practical risk of transmission.
