Certain proteins in the blood do result in a raised test readings. However a level of over 5 exceeds the chances of false positives and is 95-100% conclusive that you have HSV2. The test includes a particular, refined antigen, which attracts HSV2 antibodies in the main.
Cultures can miss the virus if there is an insufficient amount of the virus swabbed of the sores. The virus can disappear quite quickly after forming sores just leaving behind a lesion.
Given the timing, it is not clear who the source may be, nor does it matter terribly much. What is established is that you have HSV2 and if your current and future partners desire, or at your insistence before sexual relations take place, they can test to understand their HSV status.
By the way I was with my ex for 9 years
Culture test was negative
Both times
Blood test was negative first time guessing time built up antibodies
But could ANY antibodies make the test positive? I've had a lot going on in that region it's horrible
Or is just specifically antibodies for herpes
Yes those are the last two partners on my end.
And no we broke up some time back but as sex 3weeks before the new guy
It was a igg test and my results were 5.00
Im not too postive on their results, :/
But this time I demaded proof
Some questions first.
Am I right in assuming that the last two partners you have had are your ex and this new guy since summer?
When you had the first blood test, how long was it since sex with your ex? More than 12 weeks? Was it an IgG test, do you know the results?
Did your current partner definitely get an IgG test? What were the results?
Your HSV2 test does look to be positive.
Also, when I went to the gyno the first time I had slight yeast present*
