Well yes he does have antibodies that will help but to really lower his risk there would need to be condom use, and taking anitvirals to reduce shedding.
Shedding occurs where the virus is on the surface anywhere in the boxer short area with out a sore present. It would have been an advantage to have an outbreak as usually they occur at the same spot and avoiding the spot would also reduce the risk. But since youve never had an outbreak that wouldnot be an option.
Normally anyone with a score of 5 would be positive and under 5 like a 3.5 might be a false positive. If you want to make absolutly sure then have the Western blod test performed.
Hi and yes and with a high number (they stop at 5) could be considered an old infection. Just make sure it was not a combo test and was type specific. You can have a normal sex life but life style adjustments will have to be made. Maybe youll meet someone who also has it which would certainly make a difference. If your seeing some of your regular partners make sure you mention this and have them tested as well.
Also wanted to add and ask this: I recently started seeing someone and we have been using condoms. We have been together for about 2 months. At the time I didn't know I had HSV 2. I told him when I found out and we are on a break to figure out what we can do. He has tested positive for HSV 1 before.
Are his chances to get HSV 2 lowered because he already has HSV 1?
How likely is it he has HSV 2 from me?
