what do the numbers mean for a herpes test my numbers are 12.61 for hsv 1 and 0.62 for hsv type 1/2 combined elisa and hsv 1/2 combined 22.40 im so confused can any1 help please
I'd make his getting tested properly for std's a condition of his staying. you need to protect yourself!!
yes weve been together for 4 yrs so its not so easy to walk away theres 3 children involved too.. i knw not the smartest thing to do but really tryin to work it out he knws ill never forget and i wont forgive him either he also knws if he ever does anything like this again hes out the door everyone deserves a second chance but i dont give third and he knws that
yeah im still with him and no he dont want to get tested im not sure why maybe a little scared and has no insurance he just blows it off as nothing has happened but while he can sit back and have ''no worries'' im the one who gets it all put on me i go regularly to all my dr. appt and hes never been tested for nothing. my dr did do all the std test on me and they all came back negative but that one. ill def get retested
yes the time you wait to get checked does matter dear. I wouldn't have asked if it didn't matter. I"m really not that nosy!!!
definitely check to see if you do get tested for herpes every time you are seen.
are you still with this partner? if so, has he pursued complete std testing himself? It's still too early for him to get tested for hepatitis, hiv and herpes yet - he'll need to wait at least another month to test for them. You also need to repeat that testing too in another month.

he cheated on my july 5th and 6th i got my testing done on my schedule annual which was september 15th... does that even really matter? i get regular check ups every 6 months and in january everything came back normal as usual. as far as i know theose were the only two times he cheated and i know approx 2 weeks after he cheated he got really sick and had what the doctor at the e.r said was a boil but they never called us back with the swab results so we never found out if it actually was or not they put him on very strong meds and he never went back to get it checked eventually it went away
I'd just call and double check to see what your actual hsv2 results are just to err on the side of caution. always better safe than sorry.

its really helped me alot to be able to ''talk'' to someone without being judged for what has happened to me even though i know alot of people out there have this but it helps to know i can talk with someone and get some peace of mind and not having to feel like an out cast Thanks again
well i thank you guys for helping me the only numbers were the one for hsv1 and then 1/2 combined none for the actual hsv2 and thats what i had gathered too from my dr was that its hsv1 orally since she said anyone could get it from a kiss... again that you
most folks have hsv1 orally and most aren't getting obvious cold sores to know it. no real reason not to think your hsv1 isn't oral from what you've posted.
there should've been a numeric result for your hsv2 too.
your provider should read up on the 2010 cdc herpes guidelines to learn how to properly order the testing. the combined testing and the igm testing shouldn't be drawn.

the only numbers i got were the .12.61 for hsv 1 and 0.62 for hsv type 1/2 combined elisa and hsv 1/2 combined 22.40 the other test done hsv2 said () which means the range was normal so im not sure... the way the doctor said it was not to worry cause its like getting kissed and catching it and not to worry unless i ever get an outbreak down there... which i never have they only thing that ive gotten down there is occasional razor burn or ingrown hair which my doctor has just recently seen beings i just seen her a couple weeks ago and confirmed thats what the marks were she said if i had an outbreak when she seen me then she would have know for sure but i had no outbreak and never have so i assume thats i have hsv1 beings she said that a smooch can do it?
the combined test comes back positive more often than not. it really tells you nothing about your herpes status.

why would the combined be worthless and are you saying w/o that hsv2 test i more then likely dont have it my doctor said its kinda like if you got kissed at age 5 you could contract hsv1 but said nothing about 2 and not to be alarmed unless i have an out break since ive never had one before down there anyways yes ive had cold sore but ive never had anything down there and thats where i got confused
cause my dr office has an online thing now to where you can review your results
