odds are if you do have hsv2, it isn't oral to be transmitted through kissing.
the herpes western blot blood test can be gotten through quest labs or the U of washington.
no reason to think it's herpes causing your continuing symptoms. if you are still ill, return to be seen again.
Also, I had a positive strep test 1.5 weeks after the kiss, took penicillin for 10 days, but for still have the same symptoms for the past 3weeks, so I'm nervous it's oral hsv2 which may be affecting my neck, back and eye...?
I got the panel test because I was really freaking out given all of the symptoms I've been experiencing for the past 4-5 weeks (sore neck and back, eye pressure /pain, swollen glands and lymph nodes, extreme fatigue) and scared myself into thinking it could be something else so why not check to know for sure. Three more questions (sorry): where can I get the WB test? How likely is it that I could now transmit HSV2 to someone by kissing them? Also, how likely is it that I could spread it to someone's vagina by providing oral sex? Sorry for the novice questions. Thank you!!!!
kissing doesn't transmit any std's other than oral herpes. you already knew that you had hsv1 from previous testing so why go for all this testing from kissing someone?
your hsv2 is a low positive. It can be confirmed with a herpes WB blood test anytime after 4 months after the last time you had anal or genital sex with someone to see if it's a false positive or not.

I meant to say false positive in question (1)...
