Low HSV1 Number

I was tested for HSV1 recently and it came back negative. I was then tested for HSV2 and here are the results. Above 1.10 is positive I had a 1.26 the method used was the Eti - max Elisa Focus Diagnostics Kit. The test states that it's type specific and that they use IgG Abs. Could it be a false positive?

It can take several months. Have you had a new partner recently?

You have a really low positive and it needs confirmed.

I'd wait and repeat your blood test in 3 months and see what the result is. if this is a newly acquired infection it will be unmistakenly positive by then.

That's fine but if you recently contracted hsv2 - it won't show up this early.

It's totally up to you what you want to do but if you want to do it accurately - you'll need to repeat your testing in 3 months.
