MIRENA AND OUTBREAKS
Does anyone know if Mirena IUD causes herpes out breaks? I have had Paragard non hormonal but thinking of switching to Mirena which has hormones .
Depends on your body and how it reacts to the hormones.I have a Paragard and I absolutely love it....the reason for me not choosing the Mirena is because I wasn't sure how the hormones would react with my body and current situation. Take a chance and see if u want to,if it doesn't work out then switch back! Only u kno your reasons for wanting to switch....but if it isn't really serious I'd tell u to stick to your Paragard!
I was more referring to the hormones in the Mirena I know that the pill can cause outbreaks b/c of the hormones.
