be seen for the back pain. make sure you aren't spending too much time sitting in front of a computer searching the web for std info too.
I will ask them to give me the igg test, thanks. I just keep reading about lower back pains are a symptoms of an outbreak and my lower back is getting worst and I can't explain why. I know that my risk is low but just for I can be more educated about the virus, would a person have lower back pain before a outbreak or during.
I want to thank you so much for all your help because the stigma the goes behind this virus make it hard to talk to someone and get real information without going to a doctor.
Thanks again
you want a type specific herpes igg blood test. sounds like the provider you talked to was more familiar with the outdated non-type specific testing which isn't what you want.
really no reason to think you contracted hsv2. I wouldn't even be checking your genital area.
You are the best Grace, I have not taking a test for herpes recently but when I asked my doctor ( VA clinic ) if they could give me a test. I was told since I had the chicken pox it was no reason to have one because it will come back a fake positive. What type of test should I ask for to make sure I don't have it already?
Thanks for the giving me the chances of me catching hsv2 but if I was to contract the virus would I be showing signs in four day if I was to ever show any sign or do I really need to give it 20 days like I have been reading on other sites? I do have some irritation down there but nothing serious so I'm thinking it is all in my mind but only a test and time will tell I guess...
Thank you so much for replying.
I still would like to stay friends with the lady and see where it goes from there but no more sex until I'm sure she is worth the risk. I'm assuming the whole finger touching my mouth is okay also?
Thanks again to everyone that responded
you wouldn't have symptoms of herpes the next day.
your risk of contracting hsv2 from two protected encounters is incredibly low. unless there is another partner to protect, we don't even recommend testing from this.
do you plan on continuing to see this partner?
grace
your ok when you protect yourself with a condom :)
have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your own status?
also never wash your genitals off with dish soap!! it's designed for dish washing, not your delicate genital skin! also you can't wash std's off your skin - they are transmitted during the sex act itself, they don't lay on the skin and work their way into the body over time.
