Scared out of my mind!!!!
I received oral sex for a good 20 minutes or so from a girl a couple weeks ago. No intercourse. After putting my finger in her I could tell she was acting weird and she eventually admitted to me she had HSV 2. I immediately went and washed my hands and penis. I never had contact with her vagina except for my finger and she had her pants on while giving oral to me. I didn't touch myself after fingering her either. I believe about 2 weeks after I had a tingle in the tip of my penis that lasted for a day or two. I started taking antibiotics I had in the house and the pain over a day or two changed to just a sting in the tip of my penis and a dull ache in my perineum area. They weird thing is I only get these feelings when I sit in a chair or a seat of my truck. As soon as I stand up the sting and ache is gone. I went to my doctor and he thinks it's prostadynia and put me on ciprofloxacin. after a few days on cipro I have mostly just a dull ache in my testes and perineum but only when sitting in a chair. Every once in awhile I get what feels like a pain shooting to my kidneys or lower abdomen area. I really don't have much sting at all. Sitting in a chair can produce some slight sting feeling in the tip but it's mild. Absolutely no visual signs of herpes anywhere but my anxiety is out the roof. Just wondering if prostadynia is possible here.
It's now been over 4 months and still having symptoms of something. Now i've noticed the tip of my meatus swells on one side only periodically. I'm randomly everyday feelin shock or pens and needle feelings all over (feet, legs, arms...) GP did a visual check awhile back and said nothing looked suspicious as far as STD's. Did a urine analysis and it was clear of anything. . I have read about quite a few guys having this problem with a swollen meatus on one side and these shock nerve feelings. Almost all of them are std negative for everything but no answers. Do you have any idea from previous stories etc.. that may be causin this?? No blisters or sores to poimt towards herpes as of today.
I'm going to the GP because these sensations are driving me crazy!! Nerve pains in one or both legs. I've feel the pains also in my feet. Butt aches sometimes off and on. Sometimes slight testicle pain or even nerve sensation. Sometimes shooting nerve pains in abdomen like their going to my kidneys.
What are the very obvious and typical symptoms you said I would read about in the handbook? To this very day its been almost 3 months of varied constant symptoms. Some days not as bad as others but def noticeable!

if you only have symptoms when you are thinking about it all then that's genitally focused anxiety going on.

The problem is I had some alcohol in me so it took quite a bit longer due to the drinking. Could the oral sex then a long session of masterbation caused some type of nerve damage or so fourth to cause all the symptomes I've had?? Thats my only thought I can think of unless it was just a rare timing to possibly get prostadynia or whatever poss. could cause it. I wouldn't doubt if anxiety is causing some of the issue. When Im up and about there really are no problems. mainly just when I'm sitting or lying down thinking about it

if you had contracted hsv1 genitally from the oral sex, you would've presented with very obvious and classic symptoms, not the vague symptoms you read about in the handbook. those symptoms are typically seen in folks with pre-existing hsv1 oral infections who contract hsv2 genitally later on.

Prodrome is a symptom or symptoms that occur before an actual outbreak is present. Itching, tingling, a crawling-under-the-skin feeling, pain down the back of the leg or in the buttocks, may all be signs of a recurrence on the way. Some people get the prodrome signs but no recurrence.
My question is why did you think my situation doesnt sound like herpes?? I do believe you because the only possible way would of been from my fingers to my penis and the fact I had symptoms for 8 weeks without lesions. There just now becoming almost unnoticed 100%. The itching I've had the last week concerned me but that started about 7 weeks after the situation. I'm wondering if the itching has something to do with the doctor checking my prostate and maybe aggravating possible internal hemmroids?? What bothers me the most is that all this started a week after that night.

I haven't yet. I was giving it some time before I went to get tested because I was on Cipro. I plan on seeing my doc after the std test. I would like one regardless just to be safe. It's just weird how my symptoms have seemed all over the place..
no reason to think this is herpes. have you been back to be seen again? have they manually examined your prostate as well as your anal area?

you wouldn't have contracted her genital herpes from her performing oral on you dear.
sounds like you need something more to do than concentrate on your genital area and feeding your anxiety caused by hearing that someone you were with had herpes? be educated about herpes - not fearful!! 1 out of every 2-3 people you know has oral herpes and 1 out of every 4-5 had genital herpes. it's incredibly common!!

Hey Grace I know you said my symptoms sound nothing like herpes but I have one more question. It's been two weeks now and all the nerve pains or stinging sensations are gone. What I have now is a dull ache in the testies and sometimes a dull ache in my butt/perineum area. I only really notice the ache sitting in a chair. Also today (2 weeks later) I noticed a small, barely noticeable bump on mid scrotum. It is inside the skin like a pimple not outside and kind of hard feeling. I have gotten like razor burn bumps before from shaving around that region and that is what it def. looks like. I am going to get tested in a month just to be sure. Is that somewhat normal to have the sensations for approx 2 weeks then possiblly an OB. It is just weird how my symptoms have been all over the place. tingle to a sting and dull ache in perineum. then I was put on cipro. the sting and ache went away then the sting came back and is gone within 2 days. Now I just feel a very slight dull ache in testicles and butt area. All this over two weeks with no physical symptoms until day 14. That may just be skin irritation from constantly examing that area??
absolutely none of the symptoms you've mentioned are due to herpes.
you also wouldn't have contracted her genital herpes infection from the contact you had either.

I also seem to be feeling more of the shooting pains when they happen in my abdomen area now. But like I said earlier if I were to stand all day I never really feel a whole lot. I also feel like I urinate more with dribbling but I don't know if it's in my head and I'm trying to go when I really don't need to .
