Nervous!

I recently had unprotected oral sex with a male friend of mine. After the man left, I noticed a cold sore forming on my upper lip. Did I just give him herpes? I am freaking out right now.

Good. I'm glad he's not worried. I hope you aren't either. :)

Did you just give him herpes? Maybe.

If he already has oral hsv1 that will offer him significant protection against getting it genitally. 67% of people under 50 have hsv1 globally.

Did you talk about this before the encounter? Do you know if he has hsv1?

Greetings. Neither herpes nor syphilis sores form so quickly, it takes days for herpes and weeks for syphilis. You probably already have oral herpes, so I see no reason to freak out.
Freaking out is the worst thing you can do: it never helps but always puts a lot of pressure on your mind, producing even more symptoms.
