Not sure what is going on in my nether regions

I have HSV1, have had it since I was 11. My outbreaks have always been on or around my lip.  It has been a very long time since I have had an "outbreak".  I remember the tingling whenever I would feel a cold sore coming on, but now sometimes I feel a bit of tingling, not like it used to be though, its very light, not like the intense tingling and itching I have felt before.  I now feel a lot of burning in that area and it is a lot more constant. Is there a possibility that the constant burning is shedding since I dont get an outbreak?  It can sometimes go on for weeks and it happens at least once a month.  I also get a burning on my vaginal lips too, but every time I go into my gyno and even to a "herpes" clinic, they tell me it isn't an outbreak. I am really confused, no one can tell me what is wrong with me. It seems so constant and it makes me nervous that I am shedding all the time. The burning has been going on for a few years now, Usually around the time I get into a sexual relationship. I don't know if I am more conscious of it then or not, but it does cause me a lot of anxiety. I have been tested recently and I am all clear with hsv1 being the only exception. I kinda think my gyno thinks I am crazy because I come in a lot for the burning even though they never find anything.

A month ago I started on acyclovir, 400mg 2x a day, to supress shedding for my cold sores, but I still feel the burning in both places.

Do you have any insight to what could be bothering me? can people be constantly shedding like that? Or am I just nuts?

thought these symptoms were going on for years, not just started when you started acyclovir?

Funny thing, I ran out of acyclovir and i couldnt get a refill, but as soon as I stopped taking it, it stopped. Could I have been overmedicating myself?

oral herpes viral shedding wouldn't cause prodromal symptoms for weeks.  really not likely what is going on is due to your oral herpes infection.

when you have the genital symptoms, do they test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally?

either an ENT specialist or a dermatologist would be appropriate follow up for the oral burning issues. I think I'd go with the dermatologist since they can help figure out what is going on orally as well as genitally both.
