I live in Florida and called Westover Heights clinic in Portland. You must become a phone patient and they can request the test for you. The test comes from the University of Washington and gets shipped to the local Quest Diagnostics near you. From there you draw blood and they send it back to the University of Washington for analysis and then results. The whole process typically takes 10-12 days to get results from when you draw the blood.
Please contact the Westover Heights clinic (Google number). It's not cheap so please be aware and I don't believe your insurance will cover it. But it's 99% accurate after 16 weeks from exposure.
No I did not see the rash he said it was just red no pain no itch and was gone in 2 days. And no we did not have sex while he had the rash the rash a few days after we had sex but I've had no sympthoms of anything.
I've tried calling a few places for the western blot test with no success any help with that?
Mine where higher than yours I dont remember the exact numbers but i know it was definitely higher.
Did you have intercourse with him while he had the rash? Did he show you the rash?
Your HSV2 value does fall in the false positive range. I would do a Western Blot test in your scenario as confirmation testing. It's a little difficult to obtain, but it would be worth knowing your status.
What were your numbers for when you tested positive
I didn't believe I had it until I had my first outbreak. No matter how many times I got tested I just didn't believe it. I still acted as though I did have and took the precautionary measures and what not. I was diagnosed a two months before I was 18...didn't have my first out break till a year and 6 months later. im now 20 and im working on outbreak 3.
