if you've never been tested for herpes before, you should be to know what your status is. you and your partners can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take for sexual contact until you know who has what for all std's!

typically it's oral herpes that presents with few symptoms or hsv2 genitally acquired when you already have hsv1 orally.

Thank you Grace ;)

Yes, I do not have any of them during the last 60 days

What does it mean that it is possible to be infected with no symptoms?

painful or itchy blisters or ulcerations in the skin are the main symptoms.

have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your own status?

typically if you contract hsv1 genitally from receiving oral sex, you present with very obvious and painful symptoms. you've had none so really no reason to be concerned about having contracted herpes from the encounter in question.

we recommend protected sexual contact - saves you worrying, protects you and keeps you from having to test frequently for std's. in the future, only give and receive protected oral sex if it's not a regular partners who's full std status you are aware of :)
