What should I do?

About 2 months ago, I performed oral sex on a male friend of mine and he finished in my mouth. When I questioned him, he said he's never experienced any symptoms of herpes or had any experiences with stds. At the beginning of this week, I was tested for everything and my results were negative. The clinic I visited refused to do a type-specific herpes blood test because of my lack of symptoms, suggesting that "lots of people have it." I was appalled at their refusal to give me the opportunity to test myself or at least pointing me in the right direction.

Anyway, I would like to find another clinic but I would like some suggestions as to where I can go without health insurance. In addition, if he had herpes-2 without his knowledge, what would be the chances of my contracting it via oral sex? And how would it manifest? Would it affect my genitals or mouth?

we don't even recommend std testing from performing oral sex.  No reason for herpes testing unless you just want to know your herpes status in general.

it's not likely you contracted hsv2 orally and your lack of symptoms means no reason to test for herpes from this encounter.  since you performed oral, your symptoms would be orally, not genitally.
