Hi,
I had an encounter with an escort last Wednesday (12/5). I had protected sex but unprotected oral sex. The sex took unusually long (baout 50 min) due to the use of Emla cream. after that, being paniced and stupid at the time, I washed my penis with a 2% hydrogenperoxide. Two days later, Friday evening, I had a tingeling and burning sensetaion on the head of my penis. this got better every day untill it was almost gone by today, except I feel that the head of my penis is very sensative. remember that at no time I saw any bump on my penis. Also I did not observe any visible sore on her mouth. I have some questions:
1) What is the chance that the feeling that I describe is the result of irritaion because of condom use and the use of hydrogenperoxide versus genital HSV-1?
2) If it is genital HSV-1, is the timming and type of symptoms sound right? also, I'm a really paranoied person, So is it possible that I caused the symptoms by being very steressed about this?
3) My doctor gave me a type specific blood test ( I don't knoe the name of it). when whould I take the test?
4) In case of a negative result, what is the interval that I should repeat the test to make sure?
5)Which type of test should I take for possible genital HSV-1?
6) We also kissed. So is it possible to get the genital HSV-1 but not the cold sore? or if I get it I should get both?
7) If my tets is positive, yet no symptoms. Can I tell from the level of antibody that if this is a recent exposure or I had the HSV-1 antibody from before? (As you know there is a high possibility of having the HSV-1 antibody, I'm wondering how can I make sure that it didn't infect my genital area if there is no symptoms)
Thank you very much for your time
