My results states: 0.89 iv or less negative-no significant level of detectable igg antibody to hsv type 1 glycoprotein g. 0.90-1.10 iv equivocal questionable presence of igg antibody to hsv type 1. repeat testing in 10-14 days may be helpful. 1.11 iv or greater positive-igg antibody to hsv type 1 glycoprotein g detected which may indicate a current or past hsv infection. Someone please help me and tell me what do thid mean!!!!! I mean Im freaking out crying and pulling my hair!!!!!! is this saying that i have hsv type 1 which mean i can die, have complications or even brain damage!!!! please I need to understand thid Im suppose to be getting married and I might hvae to call off the wedding because of this my life is over!!!!!!!!

Well I talk to my doctor and she said tht everyone has herpes when they are children either from sharing things or the parents kissing their children. she said I can take the hsv 1 test over again but i dont have nothing to worry about I'm good but just to be safe I can but she also said that i may have recently came in connect with so she wanna check and make sure. I so I wanna thank you and everyone helping with my problem and i will be back if its not good.

well my doctor medical assistant called and said that everything is fine,but she was telling I'm everything out of proportion.I got tested for herpes because i was taking my yearly physcial and i told to check and test me for everything in the book

2 questions - why did you get tested for herpes?  Also did your partner get tested too?

You are negative for hsv1.  No reason for retesting unless you tell me something you haven't already mentioned.

ok I only been showing false postive results for hsv1 im cleared from hsv2 i dont have that at all the only one concerns me is that hsv1 cause i thought you can pass it through oral sex i didnt have any cold sores  or nothing like that at the time or im just worried

One more thing, don't worry about performing oral on your fiance. HSV1  (did u have a cold sore while performing oral on him??) If not don't worry about it almost zero chance of passing anything to him(Having said that you are negative for HSV1 no worries there)...HSV2 orally does not shed very often when in the oral region...(HSV2 likes genitals better) Really you have little to worry about and you are doing all the right things....Just stay positive !! And don't forget 80% of low positives are false positives...Really is in your favour.....

I dont go to my doctor until next week,but she going to call me tomorrow and I maybe able to see her then. I wanted to know if grace read my results and what she think?but if you say its a big chance I dont have hsv at all?but if i do and i gave my sweetie oral sex doies that mean he has it done there?

First off even if you were to be positive and I'm not saying you are.....60% of the american  population have HSV1 and 1 in 5 have HSV2 Think about the number of people that have babies everyday....Lots of people that have HSV have babies everyday...

OK here's some very good news for you.....I was just over at the Doctors side of the site and someone was asking about false positives. It turns out over 80% of the low positive results that come back are false positive results. Try not to freak out over this, go in talk to your doctor and explain how upset you're.....Have the IGG blood test redone and log back on here and Grace will go over the results with you.....

Stay positive its not as huge as you are building it up to be.....

I dont understand these results at all one minute it states Im negative then later it states im positive!!! My soon to be husband trying to figure out why I'm so upset, it just the though if i was positive that would be very bad for him  because i perform oral sex on him befor i got my results and i havent talk to my doctor just yet. i dont talk to her until tomorrow about it. there's no cure my life is jack up no oral sex none of that we talking about having children

Now bare in mind I'm Im not an expert....Grace will be checking this thread and she has alot more experience reading these....I'll give you my two cents...

First it says you are negative for HSV1 at .89...... 1.11 means  inconclusive which is common.  They're just saying retest in a few weeks.......You're not going to die and your life is not over........ If you have not had all your questions answered by your doctor contact him or her and tell them you need some answers......
