Canker sores or Mouth herpes?

So I have a slight bit of paranoia and just the other week i was kissing this girl, that was all we did, and I later found out she was sick. Now Come Friday I started feeling like I was getting a sore throat and then saturday I was full blown ill with a fever, raw throat, stomach troubles, and I noticed a canker sore on the inside of my cheek.

I'm feeling better after I got put on medication by my doctor who said it was a bad case of pharyngitis. I just checked on the inside of my cheek and there are multiple small ulcers. The pain went away from them, but now I'm freaked out cause I don't know If I could have gotten HSV-1 from her. I was tested this year and am negative for hsv-1 and hsv-2.

I usually get canker sores when I'm sick or stressed, but I haven't seen that many before. There's none on the outside of my lips or gums, just on the inside of my cheek.

I'm wondering if it's from being sick, or did I get sick because of a primary infection, I'm scared and worried :(

I went to a nose and throat doctor and he shined a light in my mouth so surely he would have said something if it looked of any concern. My mum and step dad said it's pretty common when it comes to throat illnesses specially when you come down with a fever.

odds are this is just a virus.  If you are concerned, see your provider.
